Mark Burnett, a 13 year old man child from the small wooded town of Slingerlands, NY. As far as I can tell, Mark has spent the past few years of his young life ditching school and becoming an absolute boss on the Bike. Rumor has it that Mark painstakingly widdled a grind box out of a big oak tree that fell in his yard, and has been honing in his skills from there on out. Weather or not all that is entirely factual, we are proud to welcome him to the Garden family. This kid’s skills on a bike surpass those of any 13 year old I’ve ever seen before…click play.

Brandon has had quite the season this year! We got to catch up with him to see exactly what he’s been up to and this is what he had to say!

“This season has been super fun regardless of this terrible snow situation. Tahoe has been sunny and the parks have been pretty on point. A handful of epic powder days at Sugarbowl, Mt. Rose, Alpine, and even Northstar kept us all going but I’ve only gotten to take the sleds out twice. Just recently I took a trip down to Bear for the Grenade Games with Sammy B- That place is so ridiculous! They have the longest park runs and the most fun stuff. We had such a good time with everyone down in sunny southern California. Sam and I have been riding a bunch together this season both here in Tahoe and in Salt Lake. We did the Nike Chosen contest together and just did some backcountry trips this past month. We’ve been filming and shooting photos every chance we can, getting some good work done with photographer Kyle Beckmann. The rest of the season looks like a few contests, one at Alpine and then in Mammoth, then finishing out riding at Squaw, graduate school and then send it on up to Hood in June. Burton just hooked it up with a new deck for the spring/summer called the Parkitect- getting me hyped on what’s to come!”

Alex Platt and the crew headed out to Malibu last week to help shoot the MOD SON/ RIFF RAFF “livin fast” music video. Chris Long got to capture the behind the scenes entertainment of RIFF RAFF who performs a couple bunnyhops and explains some of the lyrics from Freestyle Dentist featured on his newest album “The Rap Games Larry Bird”. You also get to see Alex Platt and Alfredo get down on the 4 block in front of Cisco Alder’s front yard!
